This smoothie is one of my favorites! Maca is an adaptogenic herb with a nutty flavor. Something all adaptogens have in common is that they can help the body manage stress, which is great for athletes like you.
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
½ frozen banana
¼ cup frozen raspberries
Big handful of spinach
2 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp nut butter
1 tsp maca powder (optional)
Unsweetened almond milk
Blend all until you reach a thick, smooth consistency.
Top with slivered almonds and coconut flakes.
